We work to bridge the gap between cities, industry and universities around major programmes of development and industrialization of products and services, from Portugal, in high-tech sectors such as mobility, aeronautics and space.

This opportunity is for an Engineer | Backend Developer to join the geoSystems Business Unit, to develop and produce state-of-the-art technology for Space.

Descrição do emprego

• Apply continuous integration (CI) strategies and platforms, as well as automated testing tools and procedures;
• Prepare and maintain development documentation;
• Ensure that software development complies with established requirements, including but not limited to security, scalability, and performance. Actively contribute to product design, technical architecture, and implementation, while adhering to CEiiA's software development standards and processes;
• Develop software using Java and cloud-based solutions.

Qualificações

• Degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related areas;
• At least 3 years of experience in software development;
• Proficiency in any OOP languages and derivates (Java, Go, others);
• Experience developing with JVM-based Frameworks;
• Solid knowledge in API RESTful, RPC or GraphQL;
• Solid knowledge of relational and non-relational databases;
• Proficient in using Git for version control;
• Experience with message brokers and event streaming systems (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ or NATS);
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, performant, and scalable code, with a strong emphasis on best practices and architectural patterns (TDD, DDD, clean architecture);
• Capacity to design and implement unit and integration tests;
• Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines;
• Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment;
• Structured, self-organized and collaborative way of working;
• Creativity and aptitude for problem-solving and critical thinking;
• Good level of spoken and written English;
• Decision making and team management.

Desirable (no excludable):

• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure);
• Experience with load testing (K6, JMeter);
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and metrics tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK Stack);
• Experience with critical, high-availability and scalable systems;
• Experience with real-time systems.
