About the Role
The Electronics Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing electronic equipment and components. This role requires strong technical knowledge of electronics, board-level troubleshooting, soldering, and the use of diagnostic equipment to resolve hardware and configuration issues.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair electronic devices and components at the board level.
- Perform fault isolation, signal tracing, circuit analysis, and configuration troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Use through-hole and surface-mount soldering techniques to complete repairs.
- Operate diagnostic and testing equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
- Apply knowledge of electronic fundamentals, digital components, and logic circuits.
- Maintain quality, productivity, and safety standards.
- Support additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and blueprints.
- Experience with board-level diagnostics and repair.
- Proficiency using testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional standards.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical education in Electronics or a related field.
- A+ Certification and/or IPC Certification.
- Experience with through-hole and surface-mount soldering.
Working Conditions
- Work is primarily performed in a clean-room environment requiring ESD protection.
- Occasional overtime or non-standard work hours may be required based on business needs.
