Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Projects & Design) to join our Brisbane team, contributing to the design and delivery of complex electrical systems and engineered solutions for high-profile projects.

About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of electrical systems, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop low-voltage electrical systems and switchboards

  • Produce engineering drawings, schematics, calculations, and technical documentation

  • Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning, troubleshooting, and system validation activities

  • Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian and international standards including AS/NZS, IEC, ANZEx, and IECEx requirements

  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous safety improvement initiatives

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, manufacturing teams, contractors, and customers to deliver high-quality outcomes

  • Provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle from concept through to commissioning

About You

We're looking for a motivated engineer who enjoys working on technically challenging projects and thrives in a collaborative environment.

You will bring:

  • Electrical trade background and/or Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in electrical design and project delivery

  • RPEQ registration, or the ability to obtain registration

  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and PowerCAD

  • Experience designing switchboards and LV electrical systems

  • Sound understanding of Australian electrical standards and compliance requirements

Highly Regarded:

  • Experience within mining, oil & gas, defence, manufacturing, utilities, or other hazardous industrial environments

  • Knowledge of instrumentation, hazardous area installations, and Ex-certified equipment

  • Familiarity with hazardous area certification processes and IECEx requirements
