Electrical Engineer Intern - Energy & Industrial Group (Summer 2027)

Responsibilities

This position has an intended start date of Summer 2027.

 

• As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will be assigned to work on a project team and assist the engineering team members in the execution of their project work. These projects range from existing power plant retrofit projects, new generation installations, renewable energy project, new and existing oil and gas facilities, and other industrial facilities. 

• Working under the direction of senior engineers, this position will offer you the opportunity to utilize and expand your academic background in Electrical Engineering in one or more of the following areas:
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and designs 

• Be involved in electric power equipment document reviews

Qualifications

We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.

 

Essential skills and experience: 

• Must be actively enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a strong academic background and coursework in electrical power concepts and AC power systems analysis. 

• Good verbal and written communication skills along with strong PC skills are required. 

 

Valued but not required skills and experience: 

• Prior, related internship or co-op experience is preferred. 
• Enrollment in an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program is preferred

• An understanding of the practical application of electrical engineering and technology, including applying systems, principles, techniques, and procedures to a project design.

Compensation Range

$18.00 - $30.00
