Lead, inspire and shape high-quality early learning within a thriving Christian Childcare community.

South Coast Baptist College Childcare is seeking an experienced and passionate Educational Leader to join our Child Care Centre.


Working collaboratively with the Centre Leadership Team and educators, you will provide curriculum leadership and support the delivery of high-quality education and care programs that respond to the individual needs, interests and development of each child.

About the role

Working as part of our Child Care Centre team, you will:

  • Provide educational leadership and guidance in the planning, implementation and evaluation of high-quality programs.
  • Mentor and support educators in curriculum development, documentation and reflective practice.
  • Promote engaging, play-based learning experiences that respond to children's individual interests and needs.
  • Support inclusive and stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Contribute to Quality Improvement Planning and continuous improvement.
  • Support compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard and relevant legislation.
  • Promote high standards of child safety, wellbeing, health and education.
  • Contribute to professional development and a positive, collaborative team culture.
  • Support the Centre Leadership Team with program development, administration, training and other relevant activities.

About you

You are an experienced early childhood professional who is passionate about educational leadership and creating meaningful learning experiences for children.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in an educational or curriculum leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard and Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Experience in curriculum development, implementation and documentation of children's learning.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Understanding of play-based learning and the Reggio Emilia approach.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisation, sound judgement and a collaborative approach.
  • A commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional growth.
  • A genuine commitment to the wellbeing, safety, learning and development of children.


Essential requirements

  • ACECQA-approved Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years' experience in a curriculum leadership role within an approved education and care service.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Current First Aid qualification applicable to an education and care setting.
  • Current approved child protection qualification.
  • Ability to satisfy the requirements for appointment as an Educational Leader under the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
  • Personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Active participation in a church or Christian community.
  • Acceptance of the College's Statement of Faith.
  • Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment.
