About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring an Ecommerce Manager to own and grow the entire ecommerce engine for a fast-growing brand.

This is not simply a paid media role.

You’ll take ownership across the complete ecommerce customer journey:

  • Shopify store performance
  • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
  • Meta Ads & Google Ads
  • Customer acquisition
  • Retention & Klaviyo
  • Creative performance
  • Technical SEO
  • Merchandising
  • Analytics & customer insights

Success will be measured by overall ecommerce growth — including revenue, conversion rate, AOV, LTV, retention, ROAS, and profitability — rather than advertising metrics alone.

You’ll work directly with company leadership and collaborate with creative and development resources to identify opportunities, execute improvements, and continuously optimize the customer journey.

What You’ll Own

Ecommerce Growth & Store Performance

  • Own overall ecommerce performance and the end-to-end customer journey
  • Identify growth opportunities across:
    • Acquisition
    • Conversion
    • Retention
    • Merchandising
    • Customer experience
  • Analyze customer behavior and performance data to identify bottlenecks
  • Develop initiatives to improve:
    • Revenue
    • Conversion rate
    • Average Order Value (AOV)
    • Customer Lifetime Value (LTV)
    • Repeat purchase rate
  • Translate data into clear growth initiatives and recommendations for leadership

Shopify Store Optimization & CRO

  • Own ongoing optimization of the Shopify storefront
  • Improve:
    • Product pages
    • Collection pages
    • Landing pages
    • Navigation
    • Merchandising
    • Checkout flows
  • Identify and eliminate friction across desktop and mobile experiences
  • Implement theme-level Shopify improvements where appropriate
  • Partner with developers on more advanced functionality and website enhancements
  • Build and execute structured CRO initiatives
  • Test and optimize:
    • Offers
    • Bundles
    • Upsells
    • Cross-sells
    • Product presentation
    • Purchase flows
  • Use behavioral data to continuously improve user experience and conversion

Meta Ads & Google Ads

Own and optimize paid acquisition across:

  • Meta Ads
  • Google Search
  • Google Shopping
  • Performance Max

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing campaign structures and audience strategies
  • Building prospecting and retargeting campaigns
  • Creating custom and lookalike audiences
  • Managing campaign budgets and channel allocation
  • Uploading and managing creative assets from the creative team
  • Testing campaigns and scaling successful approaches
  • Improving ROAS while reducing CPA and CAC
  • Maintaining accurate:
    • Pixels
    • Conversion APIs
    • Event tracking
    • Attribution

Creative Strategy & Performance

You won’t be expected to personally produce every creative asset, but you will actively influence what gets created.

  • Analyze creative performance across paid advertising and onsite experiences
  • Identify winning:
    • Hooks
    • Messaging angles
    • Offers
    • Customer motivations
    • Creative concepts
  • Develop structured creative testing hypotheses
  • Provide data-backed recommendations to:
    • Designers
    • Copywriters
    • Content creators
  • Help the creative team understand what is working, why it is working, and what should be tested next

Retention Marketing & Klaviyo

  • Own performance analysis and optimization of retention marketing
  • Manage Klaviyo:
    • Segmentation
    • Lifecycle campaigns
    • Automated flows
    • Retention initiatives
  • Optimize:
    • Welcome flows
    • Abandoned cart
    • Browse abandonment
    • Post-purchase
    • Win-back campaigns
  • Identify opportunities to increase:
    • Repeat purchases
    • Customer retention
    • LTV
    • Email-attributed revenue
  • Improve email engagement and deliverability

Technical SEO & Organic Growth

  • Conduct technical SEO audits and implement improvements
  • Manage and optimize:
    • Indexing
    • Crawlability
    • Schema markup
    • Structured data
    • Metadata
    • Internal linking
    • Site architecture
  • Monitor website health and organic search performance
  • Identify opportunities to increase organic traffic and search visibility
  • Collaborate with content and development resources where needed

Analytics & Customer Insights

Use tools such as:

  • GA4
  • Shopify Analytics
  • Hotjar
  • Microsoft Clarity
  • Lucky Orange or similar behavioral analytics tools

You’ll:

  • Analyze acquisition, conversion, retention, and customer behavior
  • Identify funnel drop-offs and conversion friction
  • Monitor customer acquisition and lifetime value metrics
  • Evaluate channel and campaign profitability
  • Deliver monthly performance reporting
  • Turn data into actionable growth recommendations and execution plans

  • 3+ years of experience driving growth for ecommerce or DTC brands
  • Strong hands-on experience managing Meta Ads for ecommerce
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Ads, including:
    • Search

    • Performance Max
  • Proven experience owning the full ecommerce funnel from acquisition through conversion and retention
  • Strong hands-on Shopify experience
  • Experience improving:
    • Storefront performance
    • Merchandising

  • Demonstrated success with Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
  • Experience optimizing:
