Boundless Education is transforming current systems of education. We apply the renowned Finnish Curriculum, integrated with best pedagogical practices from around the world, to create a personalised, multi-age, skills-driven and strength-based system that is supportively led by educators as mentors.

We are looking for a passionate Support Early Years Educator to join our team for the upcoming launch of Boundless Life in Barcelona.

Working with children in our Explorers age group (1โ€“5 years old), Support Educators are key partners in education, working closely alongside the Lead Educator to create a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment for every child.

A key responsibility of our Support Educators is ensuring the duty of care for all children while creating meaningful opportunities for learning, exploration and development. Learning at Boundless is not confined to the classroom โ€” you'll help foster experiential and inquiry-based learning both inside and outside the classroom while supporting children's academic, social, behavioural and emotional development.


๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ What You'll Do

Supporting Learning & Development

  • Ensure the duty of care for all children and contribute to a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with the Lead Educator to provide an outstanding learning experience for every child
  • Foster a culture of learning, acceptance, belonging and holistic well-being
  • Support children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development through developmentally appropriate activities
  • Help create engaging and meaningful learning experiences in collaboration with Lead Educators and the wider Education team
  • Support small-group and individual learning activities as guided by the Lead Educator
  • Observe children's learning and development and contribute relevant insights to the Lead Educator
  • Advocate for children with academic, social-emotional, behavioural or additional learning needs
  • Model positive social skills and interactions throughout the day

Classroom & Educational Support

  • Support the implementation of Montessori principles and other child-centred approaches within the Early Years environment
  • Lead or support workshops and learning activities based on your areas of expertise and passion
  • Help prepare and organise resources for activities planned by the Lead Educator
  • Implement positive behaviour-management practices that promote a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Support educators during Nature Time, Arts, Science, Cooking and Cultural Immersion sessions
  • Assist with lunch and snack duty, nap time and playground supervision
  • Help maintain clean, safe and organised learning spaces throughout the day
  • Step in to support classroom continuity when Lead Educators are absent
  • Participate in ongoing professional learning and development
  • Contribute actively to an innovative, supportive and collaborative educational environment
  • Build positive and trusted relationships with children, families and colleagues


โœ… About You

  • Excellent English language skills; Spanish is a strong advantage for this location
  • Living in Barcelona or nearby, or willing to relocate, and able to commute daily
  • Experience working with young children, ideally within the 1โ€“5 age range
  • A genuine passion for Early Years education and supporting children's holistic development
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with Lead Educators and the wider Education team
  • Clear, warm and effective communication skills
  • Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities throughout the day
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly when circumstances change
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive environment for children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Willingness to develop knowledge of effective approaches for supporting children with diverse learning needs
  • Ability to promote ethical behaviour and maintain confidentiality regarding children and families


Preferred

  • A qualification in Early Childhood Education, Early Years Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field
  • Previous experience in an Early Years classroom, nursery, preschool or similar educational setting
  • Familiarity with Montessori principles or experience working in a Montessori environment
  • Experience with inquiry-based, experiential, play-based or other child-centred approaches
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse children and families
  • Experience supporting children with additional learning needs
  • Current safeguarding or child protection certification
  • Current first aid or paediatric first aid certification
  • Evidence of ongoing professional learning relevant to Early Years education

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced criminal records check or equivalent.
