Job Description:

Under minimal supervision, the Litigation Docketing Specialist will provide docketing coverage for nationally located offices in a timely and accurate fashion. We will provide backup coverage as needed in assisting other docketing specialists with firm-wide docketing.

This position is fully remote.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

These essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation.

Assist in coordinating the docketing process, which includes the following functions:Β 

  • Monitor office specific inboxes for receipt of docketing entries and coordinate with those who send entries as needed.Β 

  • Review litigation and business filings to determine deadlines.

  • Enter and update docket entries.Β 

  • Produce various docket reports.Β 

  • Troubleshoot docket concerns and issues.Β 

  • Provide ongoing information and technical support to attorneys, legal staff and administrative staff throughout the firm concerning the specific policies and general mechanics relating to the docketing process.Β 

  • Provide backup assistance to Litigation Docketing Supervisor as needed.

  • Be present at work during regularly scheduled working hours and as needed in the job position, consistent with the Firm's attendance expectations.

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ability to manage multiple details and prioritize.Β 

  • Ability to function effectively as a team while maintaining accuracy of detail.Β 

  • Ability to interact with all levels of firm personnel with professionalism.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and skills in time management.Β 

  • Ability to accurately type 55 wpm, excellent written and oral communication skills.Β 

  • Strong command of the English language, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, and knowledge of Firm's form and style.Β 

  • Functional knowledge of standard MS Office applications.

  • Working knowledge of all litigation and business court filings.

SPECIFIC SKILLS PREFERRED

  • Experience with docketing software such as CompuLaw and CourtAlert.

  • Proficiencies in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and between 2 and 4 years of docketing or relevant legal support or database experience, or equivalent.

  • Experience in a law firm preferred.Β

This position may be filled in the following location(s). The listed compensation range reflects the typical pay for this role, though it is rare for new hires to receive an offer at the top of the range. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.

Colorado compensation range: $71,470 to $106,190 annually

Illinois compensation range: $75,430 to $112,080 annually

Washington state compensation range: $75,390 to $112,020 annually

Washington, D.C., compensation range: $81,420 to $120,980 annually
