The/Nudge is an action institute building resilient livelihoods to alleviate poverty. We work with women, farmers, tribals, and youth across rural development, agriculture, skilling, and economic inclusion, in partnership with 15+ central and state governments.

Role Overview
We are looking for a high-agency business development leader to anchor and scale our CSR fundraising efforts in India.
This role requires a strong understanding of the CSR ecosystem, the ability to build senior corporate relationships and the drive to convert partnerships into long-term, high-value engagements. The ideal candidate combines B2B sales rigor with a nuanced understanding of CSR priorities, compliance frameworks, and corporate decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • New Business Development
  • Own and deliver CSR funds from corporates across sectors
  • Independently open doors with CSR heads, CXOs and corporate foundations
  • Build and manage a strong high-quality pipeline of prospective CSR donors
  • Lead end-to-end lifecycle: prospecting → proposal → pitching → closure → reporting
  • Represent the organization in CSR forums and corporate networks
  • Manage and mentor a team of high performing new business development executives

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 20+ years of experience in B2B sales or CSR partnerships or fundraising
  • strong network within CSR/ESG decision makers, corporate foundations or NSE 1000 CXOs
  • proven ability to open doors and close high-value CSR deals. The person should have successfully managed
  • annual B2B sales targets of at least ₹80 cr or closed annual CSR commitments of at least ₹20 cr
  • experience in engaging with CXOs and senior corporate stakeholders
  • ability to scale steep learning curve fast and effectively
  • strong storytelling, and excellent negotiation skills
  • high drive, ownership, execution focus, and alignment with social impact
  • experience in building and managing high-performing sales and pre-sales teams
  • humility, agility & adaptability, high levels of honesty and integrity
  • good interpersonal skills coupled with critical thinking & problem solving

Nice to Have
  • Experience working in or closely with the development sector
  • Understanding of CSR regulations and CSR donor expectations in India is preferred
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree
