Shift:  7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Three 12-hour shifts) + every 4th weekend and holiday coverage

Responsibilities

  • Completes a variety of high quality, patient-centered diagnostic exams on all age ranges (neonatal – elderly) and in varying locations throughout the hospital, in CT and X-ray (based on department needs) in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Completes complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment in accordance with the prescribed radiation safety procedures.
  • Safely administers IV contrast using apprpriately sized catheter/needle to deliver proper/safe volume of contrast for specific vascular protocols using pressure injector followed by flushing agents to central venous catheters utilizing sterile technique.
  • Assesses and monitors patient for allergic reaction to contrast material.
  • Performs quality control (QC) procedures in compliance with manufacturer and regulatory requirements independently, ensuring proper functioning of equipment and image quality.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate from an approved Radiologic Technology Program is required.
  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology is preferred.

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Registered as Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) is required
  • Registered as CT Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) is required
  • Permit to Practice in the state that team member will be preforming Radiological Exams is required

Experience:

  • Radiology experience in a hospital or clinic is preferred
