Job location: Samastipur/Muzaffarpur  (This position involves extensive travel within project areas and other assigned locations).

Position Summary: DO Placement will prepare youth for employment through employability skills training, career readiness sessions, and counselling at Yuva Junctions and partner centres. The role will coordinate placements by engaging employers, organising interviews, and supporting documentation and onboarding. Additionally, the position will facilitate candidate migration and joining processes, liaise with employer HR teams, and work closely with ground teams for mobilisation, tracking, and post-placement follow-up, while ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with organisational and donor guidelines.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide end-to-end post-placement and migration support to placed candidates.
  • Coordinate candidate joining process, including travel planning, reporting dates, and employer documentation.
  • Support candidates in arranging safe and affordable accommodation (PG/Hostel) at placement locations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for candidates to address day-to-day challenges related to workplace adjustment, accommodation, health, safety, and well-being.
  • Maintain close coordination with Yuva Junctions, District Leads, Placement Officers, Employers, and HR representatives to ensure smooth candidate transition and retention.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with PG owners, local support agencies, and service providers to ensure reliable support systems for migrated candidates.
  • Track candidate retention and regularly follow up during the initial months of employment.
  • Identify and escalate cases of dropouts, workplace grievances, or emergency situations to concerned stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate employer and stakeholder visits to accommodation sites or workplaces when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of candidate status including migration details, joining status, retention, and challenges faced.
  • Prepare and share data and reports in required formats with project teams and head office as per timelines.
  • Support in organizing pre-departure orientations for selected candidates on migration readiness, workplace behavior, and safety.

Qualifications:
Graduate / Postgraduate (in any discipline )  with minimum 2 years of experience in placement facilitation , skill development, training, and HR engagement .

  • Strong understanding of candidate migration, post-placement support systems, and retention strategies.
  • Good knowledge of workplace norms, employee welfare, and basic labor compliance.
  • Excellent coordination and relationship management skills with employers, HR teams, and local accommodation providers.
  • Strong problem-solving and crisis-handling ability.
  • Good communication, counseling, and mentoring skills to support youth from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage field travel and multiple candidate cases simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in data management, reporting, and documentation.
  • Empathetic approach with a strong sense of responsibility toward candidate welfare.
