Job Description

Position: Development Engineer 4

Experience: 8 to 12 years

Job Location: Chennai Tamil Nadu

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct penetration testing (Web, Network, API, Mobile) to identify vulnerabilities
  • Perform vulnerability assessments on systems, applications, and infrastructure
  • Simulate cyberattacks using manual and automated techniques
  • Identify, exploit, and document security weaknesses
  • Prepare detailed security reports with risk ratings and remediation steps
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to address findings
  • Perform red teaming exercises and security audits where required
  • Develop scripts/tools for automated testing
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and attack techniques
  • Ensure testing aligns with OWASP, NIST, and compliance frameworks

Penetration testers typically simulate attacks, identify weaknesses, and recommend security improvements to strengthen defenses

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
    • Operating Systems (Linux, Windows)
    • Web application architecture
  • Experience with tools such as:
    • Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Wireshark, OWASP ZAP
  • Understanding of:
    • OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
    • Authentication and access control mechanisms
  • Scripting knowledge:
    • Python / Bash / PowerShell
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
