About this role

Tessl is a fast-growing Series A startup based in London, founded by Guy Podjarny. We’ve raised over $100M from world-class investors including Index Ventures, Accel, GV, and Boldstart, and in 2025 we were ranked #2 in Sifted EU’s B2B SaaS Rising 100 and #20 in Sifted's AI 100.

At Tessl, we are building the context layer for AI coding agents, and a platform for AI-native software development. As an early member of the team, you’ll help shape how we build, scale and support a company operating at the edge of AI and software development.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

We're looking for a Developer Advocate to lead Tessl's hands-on enablement on the ground in the US, with a focus on workshops and customers. Someone who lives and breathes agentic coding and can bring it into large organisations, helping their developers and their leaders understand what AI native development makes possible.

This role pairs deep technical credibility with a commercial lens. You'll design and run workshops, deliver them on-site at customers, present at meetups and conferences, and support Tessl's commercial activities where needed. You'll be as comfortable in front of an enterprise engineering team as you are on a conference stage.

You'll also bring a clear view of how change actually lands in big organisations. Adoption, rollout, inertia and pushback are all part of the work, and you'll have strategies to get past them.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and deliver workshops: Create compelling, hands-on workshops on AI native development with Tessl, and deliver them with confidence, including on-site at customers.

  • Drive enterprise adoption: Apply agentic coding to large organisations. Think through rollout, inertia and pushback, and bring strategies that move teams from interest to real adoption.

  • Support the commercial motion: Partner with the commercial team and support Tessl's customer-facing activities where needed, bringing a commercial lens to your technical work.

  • Present widely: Speak at meetups and conferences, and be a credible, engaging voice for Tessl in the wider AI developer community.

  • Content creation: Write articles, tutorials and guides, and produce videos that give developers practical, actionable insight into AI native development with Tessl.

  • Build with Tessl: Stay a power user of the product, building enough with it to keep your workshops and customer guidance grounded in real practice.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Living and breathing agentic coding: You're deep in AI native development and you can translate it for an enterprise audience.

  • Workshop design and delivery: You're very comfortable creating workshops and presenting them, with real experience delivering on-site at customers.

  • A commercial lens: You understand the commercial side of customer engagements and you're comfortable supporting sales motions.

  • An eye for adoption: You understand how large organisations actually change. You can read inertia and pushback and you know how to work past them through rollout and enablement.

  • Strong presenter and communicator: You can write and speak clearly and engagingly about technical AI topics, from a customer workshop to a conference stage.

  • Development skills: You're comfortable enough with code to build and hack on things yourself. You don't need to be a full-time engineer, but you ship.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience enabling large enterprise organisations

  • Experience with developer training, technical enablement or solutions engineering

  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, early-stage startup environment

We care deeply about the warm, inclusive environment we’re building at Tessl and we value diversity – we welcome applications from those typically underrepresented in tech. If you like the sound of this role but are not totally sure whether you’re the right person, do apply anyway!
