Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Design Engineer specializing in HVAC systems to join our engineering team in Gurugram, India. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. You will work collaboratively with architects, project managers, and construction teams to deliver efficient and compliant HVAC solutions that meet project specifications and client requirements.

  • Design and develop HVAC systems using industry-standard CAD software, including load calculations, ductwork design, and equipment selection
  • Perform thermodynamic analysis and heat transfer calculations to optimize system efficiency and performance
  • Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation in compliance with ASHRAE standards and Indian building codes
  • Conduct system sizing and capacity analysis to ensure proper equipment selection and energy efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HVAC designs with architectural and structural plans
  • Analyze and troubleshoot design challenges, implementing innovative solutions to meet project requirements
  • Prepare technical reports, design proposals, and cost estimates for HVAC systems
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards applicable in India
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance during installation and commissioning phases
  • Stay current with industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices in HVAC design and engineering

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Proven experience in HVAC system design and engineering (minimum 3-5 years)
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent design tools
  • Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer principles, and HVAC fundamentals
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and Indian building codes and regulations
  • Competency in load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection
  • Excellent technical documentation and drawing preparation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Organized approach to project management and deadline adherence
  • Ability to work effectively in team environments and communicate technical information clearly

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and 3D design tools
  • Knowledge of energy modeling software and sustainability principles
  • Familiarity with HVAC controls, automation systems, and smart building technologies
  • Experience designing systems for commercial or industrial applications in tropical or subtropical climates
  • Understanding of Indian climate conditions and their impact on HVAC design requirements
  • Experience with project lifecycle management from design through commissioning
