We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice in Bannockburn. As a Dental Nurse, you will bring your clinical expertise, organisational skills and empathetic approach to create a welcoming and efficient environment where patients feel valued and colleagues feel supported.
- Provide skilled chairside assistance to dentists during a variety of clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times - Prepare and maintain the treatment environment, including sterilisation and infection control procedures in accordance with best practice guidelines - Manage patient records accurately and maintain confidentiality, ensuring all documentation is completed promptly and thoroughly
- Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate anxiety, explain procedures and provide post-treatment care instructions - Assist with patient induction and help create a welcoming atmosphere that promotes trust and confidence - Support the wider dental team through efficient coordination and collaboration, anticipating needs and responding proactively - Maintain high standards of clinical and personal hygiene, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Contribute to the smooth running of the practice by managing instruments, materials and equipment responsibly - Undertake administrative duties including appointment scheduling, patient communication and practice organisation - Demonstrate resilience and flexibility in a fast-paced clinical environment, managing multiple priorities with composure - Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance clinical knowledge and skills
Qualifications
**Required:** - Active General Dental Council (GDC) registration - Proven dental nursing experience at a good level, demonstrating clinical competence and confidence - Sound knowledge of infection control and sterilisation procedures - Strong organisational and time-keeping skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent people skills and ability to communicate clearly with patients and colleagues - Proficiency in patient record-keeping and dental practice administration - Commitment to professional development and maintaining CPD requirements **Desirable:**
- Experience working in a busy, multi-clinician practice environment - Familiarity with dental practice management software systems - Additional qualifications in dental radiography or other dental specialisms - Experience in patient care coordination and practice induction - Demonstrated ability to work flexibly across different clinical settings
