Responsibilities
- Provide preventive dental hygiene services, including prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, polishing and fluoride/sealant applications
- Assess and document periodontal health and treatment provided
- Review and update patient dental histories
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
- Partner with the dentist and clinical team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Administer local anesthetic when permitted under Ohio regulations
- Maintain accurate and HIPAA-compliant patient records
Qualifications
- A degree or certificate in hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Excellent verbal skills to communicate professionally with patients and staff
- Ability to travel between locations preferred
