About this role

Data Modeler — Power BI, Databricks & Microsoft Fabric

We are looking for a Data Modeler to review and improve the existing data models behind Power BI reports. The reports source data from Databricks Unity Catalog and Databricks SQL Warehouse.

Required Skill Set

  • Strong experience in data modelling, including star schema, fact/dimension tables, relationships, and data marts.
  • Strong SQL skills, including query writing, optimisation, and validation of reporting datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI data models, relationships, semantic models, and report performance optimisation.
  • Experience working with Databricks SQL Warehouse and data governed through Unity Catalog.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, particularly Lakehouse/Warehouse and Power BI integration.
  • Ability to analyse existing reporting models, identify modelling issues, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Good communication skills to work with business users, report developers, and data engineering teams.
