We are looking for an experienced and strategic Data Head with 8–14 years of experience to lead the organization’s data and analytics function. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Data Analytics, data-driven decision-making, business intelligence, and analytics strategy. This role will be responsible for building a robust data culture, developing scalable analytics capabilities, and translating complex data into actionable business insights.

The Data Head will work closely with senior leadership, product, technology, finance, marketing, operations, and other business teams to identify opportunities where data can drive growth, efficiency, customer experience, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the organization’s overall data and analytics strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, analytics managers, data scientists, and other data professionals.
  • Develop analytical frameworks, dashboards, reports, and data products that enable informed business decisions.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand key challenges, define analytical requirements, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Establish and track key business metrics, KPIs, and performance indicators across functions.
  • Drive advanced data analysis to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, risks, and areas for operational improvement.
  • Ensure data is accurate, reliable, consistent, and accessible for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technology teams to improve data pipelines, data platforms, and analytics infrastructure.
  • Establish best practices around data governance, quality, documentation, security, and usage.
  • Build executive-level reporting and communicate complex analytical findings clearly to senior leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and analytics processes.
  • Evaluate emerging analytics tools, technologies, and methodologies and recommend solutions that improve organizational capabilities.
  • Promote a data-driven culture by enabling teams to effectively use data in their day-to-day decision-making.

Must-Have Skills

  • Data Analytics – strong hands-on and leadership experience in analytics, business intelligence, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.
  • Proven experience translating complex datasets into meaningful business insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of analytical methodologies, KPI frameworks, data visualization, and performance measurement.
  • Experience leading and managing high-performing data and analytics teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with business and technical leadership.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets and solving business problems through data.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and modern analytics/business intelligence tools.
  • Ability to present data-driven insights to senior executives and influence strategic decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making capabilities.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with data warehousing, data engineering, and modern cloud data platforms.
  • Exposure to Python, statistical modeling, machine learning, or predictive analytics.
  • Experience with BI and visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, privacy, and security practices.
  • Experience driving organization-wide data transformation or analytics modernization initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • 8–14 years of overall professional experience, with significant experience in data analytics and leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable analytics functions and deliver measurable business impact.
