Join the Team: Data Engineering Intern
This internship at PrizePicks offers students the opportunity to work with the Data Engineering team to productionize data pipelines and create data products. Ideal candidates have a strong technical background in computer science, computer engineering, or related fields, proficiency in Python and SQL, and a passion for sports data and analytics. Standout applicants will have experience with database, data warehouse/data lake, cloud infrastructure and continuous deployment (GCP), and strong interest in open-source projects.
What you'll do:
- Learn from the PrizePicks Data Engineering team on how we approach data, scalability, performance, and Analytics challenges.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of optimal sport data architecture, ensuring data reliability in both speed and quality for data pipelines.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams and stakeholders to determine best paths for data ingestion, processing and creation of data products.
What you have:
- Strong computer science/engineering background. Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Informatics, Information Systems or other quantitative field
- Strong coding skills - Python, SQL.
- Demonstrable history of building robust data-intensive applications
- Interest in sports and fantasy sports markets.

- Experience with Cloud Providers GCP/AWS/Azure.
- Demonstrable background/coursework building data pipelines and data-focused applications from scratch.
- Success in open-source projects
- Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and collaboration experience with organizational technical and non-technical teams

Where you’ll work:
Our interns work onsite at our West Midtown Atlanta location.
Spring Program: January 25 - April 30, 2026

Working at PrizePicks:
Engineering interns' starting hourly rate is $35. At PrizePicks, we consider your role, level, and where you'll be working when determining our salary ranges. Your actual pay within that range will depend on your specific work location, as well as your skills, experience, and education.
