You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Enterprise Platform Design.
• Strong experience designing and implementing data architecture solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Strong expertise in data modeling, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience applying them to data architecture and engineering solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spark and dbt for scalable data processing and transformation.
• Strong experience designing and working with Snowflake and BigQuery cloud data platforms.
• Strong experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Experience with metadata management and enterprise data architecture practices.
• Experience leading and supporting data governance initiatives.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable data solutions.
• Strong documentation skills with a focus on maintaining clear and consistent data architecture standards.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business teams.
• Fluent English proficiency.

Preferred Certifications:

• TOGAF.
• AWS Data Architect.
• Google Cloud Data Engineer.
• CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional).

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

• Define and govern enterprise data architecture, ensuring data platforms, models, and data flows are scalable, secure, and aligned with business strategy.
• Design and evolve data ecosystems that support analytics, AI, and operational systems.
• Develop and maintain data models, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema, to support business and technical requirements.
• Establish and maintain data architecture standards, principles, and guidelines across the organization.
• Lead and support data governance practices to promote consistent, reliable, and well-managed data assets.
• Define and oversee metadata management practices to improve data visibility, consistency, and usability.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data architecture solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend data platforms and technologies based on scalability, performance, and business requirements.
• Ensure data architecture decisions support data quality, compliance, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Document data architecture, models, standards, and architectural decisions to facilitate knowledge sharing and consistency across teams.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical direction to data engineering and technical teams.
• Support cross-functional decision-making by ensuring data architecture remains aligned with organizational objectives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Enterprise Platform Design.
• Strong experience with data modeling, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Spark, dbt, Snowflake, and BigQuery.
• Experience designing enterprise data architectures and supporting data governance initiatives.
• Fluent English proficiency.
