Please note that you are applying for a general expression of interest for a range of part-time (20–30 hours per week) and full-time opportunities across our East Melbourne Branch Network. 


If you are shortlisted, you will be asked to attend a Group Interview Day on October 13th at 9am in the Eastern Suburbs area.

Our Melbourne East area covers the following branches:

  • Bayswater, Boronia, Box Hill, Burwood, Chadstone, Chirnside Park, Croydon, Doncaster, Forest Hill, Glen Waverley, Lilydale, Mount Waverley, Oakleigh, Ringwood, Westfield Knox

As a Customer Banking Specialist, you will:

  • Have in-depth conversations with every customer about how we can support their overall banking needs, including Home Loans, Business Banking and Financial Advice.
  • Support customers with enquiries, account maintenance and applications for credit products.
  • Provide options for customers through education and demonstration of our in-branch technology and digital banking solutions.
  • Problem solve and provide effective solutions whilst championing our processes, procedures and strong risk culture.

 

We're interested in hearing from people who have

  • Proven experience delivering exceptional customer service, ideally within Financial Services, Retail or Hospitality.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate financial concepts in a clear and simple way.
  • The ability to ask the right questions, identify solutions, act with integrity and place the customer at the centre of everything they do.
  • The ability to thrive in a busy, commercial and customer-focused environment whilst seeing the bigger picture for customers and providing holistic solutions.
  • A genuine interest in building a career with CommBank and improving the financial wellbeing of our customers.
  • Language skills in Mandarin/Cantonese will be highly regarded, but not essential.
