Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

  • Performs CT and/or radiographic exams based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations. Exams include but are not limited to ER, inpatient and outpatient, routine body, and routine neuro. Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others. Uses ALARA on every exam when selecting parameters for exam based on patient age and habitus.
  • Displays competency performing procedures; follows National Patient Safety Goals for two patient identifier, hand hygiene and universal precautions. Always produces high quality diagnostic exams. Accurately enters, selects and/or merges the correct patient identification information on the scanner and in PAC system.
  • Accurately and proficiently performs work-ups, such as perfusions & reconstructions, on the 3-D workstation. Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol. Completes exams in Radnet. Completes incident reports/extravasation forms. Completes patient contrast information forms. Scans in documentation as required into PACS.
  • Understands the interrelation and operates the various computer systems such as RCO, Radnet, PACS and other hospital systems. Performs protocol management by evaluating and determining area of interest and type of scan to be performed on patient, consults physician as necessary.
  • Encourages good working relationships and promotes team effort within the department by communicating in a positive manner. Assist coworkers when needed. Remains focused by prioritizing workflow based on patient acuity, physician availability and equipment availability
  • Stays current with department/hospital protocols/policies by checking email, protocol book, attending staff meetings and in-services, and attending other department/hospital activities.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Other Completion of approved American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or equivalent approved RadiologicTechnologist Program. and Minimum of two (2) years CT experience. or
  • Medical Radiographer: AZ,  and
  • American Heart Association-issued Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers,  and
  • CT Radiology Tech: AZ, upon hire and
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT,  or
  • Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry,  or
  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography,  or
  • Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography,  or
  • Registered Technologist Mammography,  or
  • Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging,  or
  • Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology,  or
  • Registered Technologist Quality Management, or
  • Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy,  or
  • Registered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad,  or
  • Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, 

Preferred

  • Three (3) years CT experience.
