Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will be a compassionate and integral part of our rehabilitation team, empowering patients to regain independence and enhance their quality of life.Every day, you will expertly implement Occupational Therapist-developed treatment plans for diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.). You'll conduct interventions, provide motivating care, meticulously document progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong OT principles, excellent communication, and a passion for patient empowerment. Your flexibility, organization, and motivating team-player approach are paramount.

  • Performs certain types of client tests and measurements as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Administers treatments as prescribed in the treatment plan. Evaluates effectiveness of treatment and reports to the Occupational Therapist. Assists the Occupational Therapist with written treatment programs based on evaluations, diagnosis and age-related policies.
  • Implements and assesses appropriate education per Plan of Care and under Occupational Therapist delegation.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Oregon Occupational Therapy Assistant Licensure
  • AHA BLS within 30 days

Preferred

  • Clinical experience dealing with a broad based rehabilitation facility
