Corporate Connectivity Network Engineer
About this role
We are seeking a Network Engineer for Corporate Connectivity team with a strong foundation in networking, wireless design, cloud connectivity, and security, combined with hands‑on experience supporting Windows and Linux operating environments. This role supports modern, hybrid IT ecosystems and works closely with systems, cloud, development and security teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity.
The ideal candidate understands that networking today intersects with operating systems, identity, automation, and user experience—not just switches and routers.
- Design, deploy, and support LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD‑WAN environments.
- Configure and troubleshoot routing, switching, VLANs, and segmentation.
- Manage IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and network performance.
- Monitor network health, availability, and capacity.
- Design and maintain enterprise wireless networks
- Conduct:
- Predictive, passive, and active wireless site surveys &
- Capacity planning and RF optimization.
- Configure and support:
- Wireless controllers and access points.
- WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, and guest wireless networks
- Troubleshoot roaming, interference, and coverage issues.
- Support networking services across Windows and Linux environments.
- Collaborate with systems teams on:
- Active Directory / Entra ID integration
- Linux‑based services and appliances
- Troubleshoot network‑related issues on:
- Windows servers and endpoints
- Linux servers and cloud workloads
- Support identity‑aware networking, authentication, and access control.
- Understand how OS‑level services interact with network infrastructure.
- Design and support cloud networking in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Implement and manage:
- Site‑to‑site VPNs
- Client VPNs
- ExpressRoute / Direct Connect
- Support hybrid connectivity between on‑prem, cloud, Windows, and Linux systems.
- Partner with cloud and systems engineers on architecture and resiliency.
- Implement Zero‑Trust networking principles.
- Configure and support:
- Next‑generation firewalls
- VPN gateways
- Network Access Control (NAC)
- Support secure onboarding and offboarding of users and devices.
- Participate in vulnerability remediation and incident response.
- Support connectivity for remote and hybrid users
- Optimize network performance for:
- SaaS platforms (Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, etc.)
- Cloud‑hosted applications.
- Troubleshoot issues across ISPs, VPNs, wireless, and endpoints.
- Automate network and system interactions using:
- PowerShell (Windows)
- Python or Bash (Linux)
- API and Webhook
- Integrate networking with:
- Monitoring platforms
- Lifecycle and provisioning tools
- Maintain accurate network and systems documentation
- IT / Computer Science-related degree or certification.
- Strong experience with:
- Routing & Switching
- Enterprise wireless networking
- Firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN technologies
- Working knowledge of:
- Windows Server and Windows client environments
- Linux systems and services
- Experience supporting hybrid and cloud‑integrated environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Layer 1–7
- Teaching others about technology, Collaborative problem solving, Researching and learning new technologies.
- Analytical Thinking, Effective oral and written communicator across internal teams and external clients, Knows time management
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- SD‑WAN platforms (Versa, Netskope, Fortigate)
- Firewalls (Fortigate, PFsense, rXg, SonicWall, Watchguard, Linux Iptables, Paloalto)
- Wireless survey tools (Ekahau, AirMagnet)
- Network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Datadog, Zabbix)
- Infrastructure automation.
- Experience in MSP or large enterprise environments
Certifications (Preferred)
- CCNA / CCNP
- CWNA / CWDP (Wireless)
- Azure / AWS certifications
- Security+ or equivalent
- Microsoft or Linux certifications (nice‑to‑have)
