The Opportunity:
Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is currently looking for a Cook 3.
Essential function of the job:
- Basic knowledgeable of culinary operations, a team player, hard worker, and detail oriented
- Knowledgeable in classic and modern cooking methods and techniques
- Set up and break down a culinary station efficiently
- Prep all ingredients and station to Chef's standards
- Ensure station is clean and sanitized
- Must be able to maintain consistent and correct plate presentation
- Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with all departmental policies, service procedures & standards
- Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for the team, and to be ready for service
- Assists with quality and presentation, maintaining cleanliness standards and organization of the kitchen and the restaurant when necessary
- Maintain a "clean as you go" work ethic
- A positive, service-oriented attitude and desire to contribute to a team
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and anticipate guest needs
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ideal candidates will have a combination of a culinary degree and work experience or the equivalent work experience in a full service fine dining restaurant, if no culinary degree has been obtained.
- Passionate about food and previous similar work experience
- Flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work in a fast pace environment
- Standing for long periods of time
- Bending, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs
- Must provide work authorization document - proof of eligibility to work in the United States of America
