YOUR MISSION: Control the dimensional and aesthetic quality of coloured stones and/or diamonds in accordance with procedures and standards. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT? - Select and perform complex tests on coloured stones and diamonds using specialized methods and equipment; validate and interpret test data to ensure specifications are met and identify necessary remedial actions. - Conduct a variety of quality assurance activities to support the validation of existing and new test methods and procedures. - Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of current policies and business processes within the quality management system (QMS); assist in the design, development, and documentation of new policies, procedures, and business processes. - Adhere to and promote the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies and procedures; instruct team members in safe working practices and address instances of risky behavior, escalating serious issues as needed. - Monitor and report noncompliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory codes within the team, escalating issues as appropriate. - Identify and address shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures through established change management programs. - Organize and prepare complex documents using various technology applications; gather and summarize data for special reports. - Prioritize workflow to meet productivity, quality, and timeliness standards; utilize performance management systems to enhance personal performance. - Develop professional capabilities through participation in assessment and development planning activities, formal and informal training, and coaching; stay informed on relevant technology, external regulations, and industry best practices through ongoing education and attending conferences. - Design monthly schedules and assign tasks to others as necessary to optimize office workflow and ensure high-priority tasks are completed efficiently. - Possess a Short-Cycle Tertiary Education and relevant experience to handle most situations and provide guidance to others. - Demonstrate basic experience in coordinating the work of others.
