Safety Professional – Wilmington, DE
HazTek is seeking a Safety Professional to provide full-time, onsite safety oversight for a construction project in Wilmington, DE. This role requires strong field safety experience and a collaborative approach to working with project leadership and union trades.
Responsibilities:
Conduct daily site walks with project leadership to identify hazards and support safe work practices.
Provide safety oversight for work at heights, elevated platforms, confined spaces, and fall protection activities.
Monitor proper use of harnesses and other required protective equipment.
Serve as a liaison between project management and workers, communicating safety expectations clearly and professionally.
Coach workers and address safety concerns using a calm, approachable, and solutions-focused communication style.
Review work activities and assist with hazard assessments and corrective actions.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience.
OSHA 510 required.
Experience overseeing fall protection, elevated work platforms, and confined space activities.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with union workers and project leadership.
Ability to manage onsite safety concerns independently and professionally.
