We're looking for inspection and testing professionals to join us in providing high-level inspection and testing services to our diverse client base on projects throughout the California Bay Area and Central Valley. This position offers a dynamic work environment, the opportunity to work on multiple high-profile projects, and be part of an industry leading company.

 

 This position requires the ability to:

  • Bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds (22.68 kg) repetitively and over 50 pounds (22.68 kg) using handling equipment (hand truck, etc.).
  • Operate heavy equipment as necessary (i.e., ultrasonic non-destructive testing machine, concrete cylinder press, etc.).
  • Maintain safe mobility over construction obstacles by foot and ladder, traversing over rough broken ground and steep surfaces.
  • Work outside in variable weather at field sites and in labs with various levels of safety protection required. 

 

While much of the work is local to the San Francisco Bay Area, Kleinfelder works on long term projects (between 3 to 6 months) across the country. Desired candidates would be willing to support remote projects as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or equivalent to include courses in related work.
  • 0 – 3 years in the field or in trade-related training in a design, construction inspection, construction materials engineering/testing, or other construction related field
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • A good work ethic and high level of personal integrity.
  • Attention to detail, quality, and safety.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

 

Preferred certifications in the following:

  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1.
  • NETTCP paving certificate.
  • PCI certified.
  • NACE level certification.

 

Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Transparency LawFinal agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $25.09 per hour - $35.22 per hour.
