Responsibilities
Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager, the Community Engagement Coordinator directly supports the marketing, communications and events programming of CIBC SQUARE. They will play a critical role in bringing the CIBC SQUARE brand to life in the Toronto market and raising the property’s profile in the real estate industry. Through appropriate research, competitive analysis, and attendance at industry meetings, you will be responsible for bringing innovative ideas to the table. The ideal candidate is an energetic and collaborative person who thrives in a dynamic and passionate work environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Marketing and Communications
- Coordinate and implement marketing plans for the property and its amenities defined by the Community Engagement Manager;
- Maintain, update, build content and monitor activity on various marketing communications platforms – website, social media, newsletters, digital signage and building app;
- Produce and execute a variety of internal and external communications for building occupants and C-Suite audience, as well as external targeted audiences;
- Assist with the management of a tenant ambassador program to build and maintain tenant engagement;
- Assist in producing regular marketing updates for key stakeholders;
- Design marketing collateral in accordance with brand guidelines using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, among other tools.
Media Relations and PR
- Assist with managing external PR efforts;
- Assist with implementing and managing influencer programs;
- Coordinate various media buys;
- Contribute to resolving issues and crisis communications when needed.
Placemaking and Programming
- Assist in developing and producing the annual programming calendar for tenants, the park and food hall in partnership with tenants, community organizations and stakeholders that engages a broad and diverse audience;
- Manage event programs end-to-end including schedules, production, budget, reporting and function as the lead person on site during these events;
- Assist with development of sponsorship packages;
- Report on sponsorship success to key stakeholders using defined KPIs;
- Function as day-to-day contact with community partners and external vendors;
- Manage photo and film requests.
Administrative
- Manage, organize and maintain an effective marketing database;
- Contribute and co-manage budget planning and forecasting;
- Coordinate payment of marketing invoices;
- Perform other Brand & Community related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or the equivalent;
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant marketing experience;
- Proven experience in managing and executing events;
- Experience in Commercial Real Estate desired but not required;
- Intermediate experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva;
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and with several agencies at the same time;
- Excellent organizational and planning skills;
- Excellent spoken and written (copywriting) communication skills;
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends;
- Technologically savvy and proficient in social media;
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to different work styles;
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.
