About this role

Frontera is reimagining how children with autism and other behavioral health needs get the care they deserve. We bring together world-class clinicians, technologists, and autism specialists to build cutting-edge AI tools that help care teams work smarter and spend more time with the children and families who need them most.

Our platform is HIPAA-compliant and designed for the real-world needs of behavioral health teams - from psychologists to ABA therapists. By combining evidence-based care with powerful technology, we’re expanding access to high-quality services for families everywhere.

Our Mission

Frontera exists to close the care gap: every child, no matter where they live, should be able to access effective behavioral healthcare.

Role Overview

We are seeking a mission-driven Community & Partner Development Lead to help grow our presence and expand access to pediatric behavioral health services across New Mexico. In this role, you will design and execute community and business development strategies that drive qualified referrals, primarily Frontera Diagnosis (FDx) evaluations and ABA services, by building relationships with the pediatricians, schools, clinics, and practices who serve families every day.

FronteraCare is our clinical services arm, the ABA and diagnostic (FDx) practices delivering direct care to families as part of Frontera's integrated care model. While this role sits within Frontera's centralized Growth team, it is fully dedicated to driving referral volume and market development for FronteraCare in New Mexico, working closely with FronteraCare's clinical and operations teams to make sure outreach translates into care on the ground.

New Mexico's care landscape varies significantly by region, from the Albuquerque metro to rural counties and tribal communities. This role requires tailoring outreach and messaging to those different socioeconomic and cultural contexts, rather than applying a single statewide approach.

You'll bring creativity and resourcefulness to how you use technology, marketing channels, and professional networks to expand awareness of Frontera's services, and you'll collaborate closely with internal teams to help shape a scalable growth strategy for the state.

This is a contract position.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute a creative market strategy to drive referral volume into both FDx evaluations and ABA services at our New Mexico clinics
  • Conduct ongoing market research and analysis to understand referral dynamics, community needs, and partnership opportunities in target regions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (pediatricians, clinics, early intervention programs, psychologists) and school-based sources (special ed directors, school psychologists, IEP teams, FIT program contacts
  • Lead new market launches in New Mexico by cultivating partnerships and building brand awareness in target regions
  • Partner cross-functionally with clinical, operations, marketing, and FDx/ABA intake teams to ensure referrals convert and local market insights inform company strategy
  • Track performance against both referral-volume and network-build metrics ( active partners onboarded, school/clinic coverage), and iterate strategy based on learnings
  • Leverage technology and marketing tools to broaden Frontera's reach and brand presence

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of combined experience in healthcare, behavioral health, community development, business development, partnerships, or outreach
  • A proven track record of driving growth through strategic relationships and partnerships
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - you're energized by meeting people and building authentic relationships
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and adaptability. Able to build trust and tailor approach across New Mexico's diverse communities, including rural and tribal populations, and adjust outreach style to differing socioeconomic realities and healthcare access barriers
  • Passionate about improving access to care for families and children
  • Track record of launching something new (a market, territory, program, or business) with minimal existing infrastructure or support
  • Comfortable operating without a fully-defined playbook, and willing to build the playbook as you go
  • Based in, or willing to be based in New Mexico

Preferred backgrounds:

  • Community development or partnerships experience in ABA, behavioral healthcare, or healthcare services
  • Existing ties to or lived experience in New Mexico, with working knowledge of the state's healthcare/Medicaid landscape and provider network gaps
  • Experience with outreach in early intervention, special education, or pediatric programs
  • Familiarity with marketing tools or digital outreach strategies
