  • Location: Jefferson, Georgia / Customer Project Sites Nationwide
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Travel Requirement: Up to 100%, depending on project needs
  • Pay: $35.00–$65.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Perform electrical commissioning, startup, and functional testing of industrial equipment and systems.
  • Verify that electrical installations comply with drawings, specifications, and applicable safety requirements.
  • Troubleshoot electrical power, control, communication, and automation-related issues.
  • Test motors, motor controls, variable-frequency drives, control panels, sensors, safety devices, and field wiring.
  • Perform point-to-point wiring checks, continuity testing, voltage measurements, phase-rotation testing, and equipment verification.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel drawings, one-line diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Assist with PLC and HMI troubleshooting, including identifying input, output, communication, and field-device issues.
  • Support equipment vendors, controls engineers, installation teams, and customer personnel during system startup.
  • Diagnose equipment faults and complete repairs, adjustments, or component replacements as required.
  • Document commissioning results, deficiencies, corrective actions, service work, and final equipment status.
  • Prepare clear daily service reports, test records, punch lists, and closeout documentation.
  • Train customer personnel on basic equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures.
  • Work within project schedules and coordinate activities with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and other trades.
  • Follow company, customer, OSHA, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, and site-specific safety procedures.
  • Represent the company professionally while working at customer facilities.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as an industrial electrician, electrical service technician, commissioning technician, controls technician, or similar field-service professional.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, control panels, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to safely use electrical test equipment, including digital multimeters, insulation testers, and phase-rotation meters.
  • Experience working with three-phase electrical systems, industrial machinery, and automated equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment, including Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar platforms, is preferred.
  • Experience with variable-frequency drives, industrial networks, sensors, safety circuits, and control devices is preferred.
  • Electrical trade school, apprenticeship, journeyman license, technical certification, or associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • NFPA 70E, OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or similar safety training is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 100%, including overnight and extended project assignments.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, nights, or shutdown schedules when required by a project.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in industrial or construction environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry tools, test equipment, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work around operating machinery, elevated work areas, electrical equipment, and varying environmental conditions.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal history background check.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to comply with customer-specific drug screening, safety training, and site-access requirements.
