Aperion Robotics, part of iKnowHow Group, is at the forefront of developing intelligent robotics solutions, combining advanced electromechanical design, Physical AI, embedded systems software, and cloud technologies to deliver practical, high-impact solutions for real-world operational needs.

We are now looking for a highly motivated Commissioning Engineer to join our Deployment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, testing, and customer handover of autonomous robotic systems operating in utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) parks.

The role combines mechanical, electrical, networking, and software commissioning activities with direct customer interaction. The Commissioning Engineer will ensure that each robotic installation is delivered safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.

Responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning

  • Install autonomous robotic mowing systems at customer sites.
  • Assemble and inspect mechanical and electrical components.
  • Install charging stations, communication equipment, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Configure robot hardware, onboard pcs, sensors, and control systems.
  • Perform functional testing before commissioning.

System Configuration

  • Configure GNSS/RTK positioning systems.
  • Configure networking equipment (routers, LTE/pLTE, Wi-Fi, VPN connections).
  • Connect robots to remote monitoring and fleet management platforms.
  • Verify communications between robot, charging station, and cloud services.

Testing & Validation

  • Execute commissioning checklists and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
  • Perform navigation and mapping validation.
  • Verify safety functions and emergency procedures.
  • Optimize robot operating parameters according to site conditions.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, networking, and software issues.

Customer Support

  • Train customer operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Demonstrate system operation and safety procedures.
  • Provide on-site technical support during initial operation.
  • Prepare commissioning reports and acceptance documentation.

Documentation

  • Complete installation and commissioning reports.
  • Record software versions, system configurations, and test results.
  • Maintain accurate service records.
  • Report technical findings to the Engineering team for continuous product improvement.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related scientific field.
  • 3+ years of experience in commissioning, field service, industrial automation, robotics, or similar technical roles.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication networks.
  • Experience with Linux-based systems is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Valid driving license
