About this role

What You'll Do

  • Program CNC mills and lathes to produce high-precision aerospace and defense components.

  • Develop tooling, workholding, machining strategies, and setups for new parts.

  • Prove out programs, troubleshoot issues, and improve cycle times and quality.

  • Read engineering drawings, inspect parts, and ensure every job meets customer requirements.

  • Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production teams to solve manufacturing challenges and continuously improve our processes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience programming, setting up, or operating CNC mills or lathes in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.

  • Familiarity with machining practices, tooling, setups, and precision measuring equipment.

  • Experience with CAM software is preferred, but we're willing to train someone with strong machining experience and a desire to learn.

  • Trade school, apprenticeship, military training, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience is valued.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

  • Stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the manufacturing facility during the workday.

  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Safely work around CNC equipment while wearing required PPE.

  • Use hand tools and precision measuring equipment.

  • Perform repetitive hand motions and visual inspections of machined parts.

  • Hold a valid driver's license for occasional logistics tasks.

  • Overtime may be available and is occasionally required. Some non-standard hours, including early mornings or evenings on weekdays and weekends, may be needed.
