Job Description

CNC Machinists are highly skilled professionals, able to work with great concentration and precision. They must be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are also essential. The goal is to produce high quality precision parts and materials by programming machines to perform the right operations.

 

•Interpret complex mechanical drawings, CAD/CAM models, and technical documentation to define advanced machining strategies.

•Program, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC machining processes to ensure peak efficiency and precision across varied equipment.

•Lead preparation, setup, calibration, and tooling for CNC mills, lathes, EDM, and specialized machining equipment for high-spec production runs.

•Plan and coordinate multiple machining projects, ensuring optimal resource allocation, workflow efficiency, and timely delivery.

•Conduct advanced test cycles, validate results, and implement process adjustments to improve output quality and reduce scrap rates.

•Supervise and mentor machinists and operators, providing technical guidance, skills development, and on-the-job training.

•Perform advanced inspection and measurement using precision metrology equipment to meet stringent industry and customer standards.

•Select, procure, and manage tooling inventory, collaborating with suppliers for cost-effective, high-performance solutions.

•Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all CNC and associated equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.

•Drive continuous improvement in machining practices, automation integration, and safety protocols to enhance productivity and compliance.

•Oversee end-to-end manufacturing of complex components, ensuring consistent delivery to exacting quality, tolerance, and regulatory requirements.

•Champion operational excellence by leading process improvements that optimize cycle times, reduce waste, and improve cost efficiency.

•Ensure machinery and tooling are maintained to the highest operational standard through proactive maintenance and performance monitoring.

•Enforce strict adherence to safety, environmental, and quality management systems, fostering a culture of safe and efficient work practices.

•Drive achievement of production KPIs by coordinating resources, managing priorities, and resolving operational challenges swiftly.

•Act as the technical authority in machining operations, providing expert solutions to complex production or quality issues.

•Lead cross-functional collaboration to support new product introduction, prototype manufacturing, and process validation activities.

Qualifications

Education/Training: ITI, Diploma or equivalent; ITI certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is a plus

Experience: Proven experience as CNC operator with 8+ years of experience

Knowledge/Skills: 

•Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools (CMM - Coordinate Measuring Machine)

•Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings

•Computer savvy with understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM

•Mechanical aptitude and good math skills

Languages:           Fluent in English, Russian and Kazak
