About the Role

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the provisioning, management, and optimisation of cloud infrastructure services across Azure, AWS, or hybrid environments. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will help build and maintain scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud environments as the Group transitions from on-premise to cloud-first infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in provisioning and managing cloud resources such as virtual machines, storage accounts, databases, and containers across Azure, AWS, or multi-cloud platforms.
- Support cloud migration activities, including workload assessment, server migration, and post-migration validation.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure health, performance, and cost using tools like Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, or Grafana.
- Assist in implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation, or Ansible for repeatable and consistent deployments.
- Support patching, backup, and disaster recovery operations for cloud-hosted workloads.
- Help manage identity and access controls for cloud resources in alignment with security policies (Azure AD / Entra ID, IAM policies).
- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure issues, providing Level 1 and Level 2 support.
- Maintain documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure integrated and secure cloud service delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering (internship or lab experience is acceptable).
- Foundational knowledge of at least one hyperscale cloud platform (Azure or AWS preferred), including compute, storage, and networking services.
- Basic understanding of operating systems: Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, or RHEL).
- Familiarity with virtualisation concepts (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerisation basics (Docker).
- Basic understanding of scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Terraform).
- Knowledge of ITIL fundamentals for incident, change, and problem management.

Preferred Qualifications

- AWS SysOps Administrator certification.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner as a minimum.
- Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi).
- Basic knowledge of containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
