Pay: CA$49.20-CA$67.08 per hour
Role Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Programs & Licensed Care and working in partnership with the RN/Clinical Lead, the Clinical Nurse Educator is a Level 4 nursing role that supports and facilitates nurses and Mental Health Workers to attain excellence in practice through the development, provision and evaluation of clinical nursing strategies, education and clinical resources. Applies a broad knowledge base of the mental health and substance use healthcare environment, the science and art of nursing, educational theory and models, program development and evaluation, planned change, process consultation and research utilization to provide role modeling, leadership and consultation and to promote a positive learning culture and advance professional nursing and support staff practices.
- Graduate of a recognized nursing or psychiatric nursing program or evidence of an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current practicing registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or a practicing RPN.
- 3-5 years’ recent, related experience including 2 years’ relevant clinical experience.
- Clear criminal record check through the Solicitor General’s office.
- Up-to-date on Provincial immunization schedule.
- Negative TB Test.
- Management/supervisory experience considered essential.
