About this role

We are seeking a compassionate, highly skilled, and patient-focused Clinical Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work with youth patients with special needs, such as autism, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. You will operate in a supportive, collaborative environment.

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and psychological assessments and evaluations, to determine diagnosis and plan of care.
  • Develop, implement, and continually adjust individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
  • Monitor client progress and effectively implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and strictly confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and refer clients to outside community resources when appropriate.
  • Appropriately utilizes established resources to assist in completing case management duties independently.
  • Document treatment provided to patients in their medical record based on established case management guidelines.
  • Complete all reports for suspected abuse as legally mandated and consistently informs supervisor.
  • Provide individual patient and family therapy and crisis intervention
  • Communicate with family members and caretakers regarding the needs of the patient and anticipated plans.
  • Create appropriate discharge plans as needed for the patient’s discharge.
  • Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a closely related field required
  • Active Nevada State licensure (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or Clinical Intern) required
  • Experience working with youth patients with special needs, such as autism, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Minimum one (1) year of inpatient clinical work with experience in diagnosis, psychotherapy and assessment-based treatment planning preferred
  • Experience with therapeutic limit-setting and an understanding of behavior management modalities helpful
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries
