About this role

USA Clinics Group is seeking an organized and motivated Clinical Applications Trainer to join our Corporate team! This critical role bridges clinical operations and technology by providing direct training and Tier 1 support to clinical staff and Providers nationwide. The Clinical Applications Trainer is responsible for delivering hands-on training, creating learning resources, and serving as the first line of support for clinical application issues—helping ensure optimal use of our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and other key clinical systems.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000

Responsibilities

User & Provider Training

  • Design and deliver engaging, role-based training programs on EMR and other clinical applications for clinical staff and Providers, including new hires and current users.
  • Facilitate individual and group training sessions—mostly virtual but can also be in-person—tailored to end-users’ experience levels and departmental workflows.
  • Develop and maintain clear, user-friendly training materials such as manuals, quick guides, video tutorials, and e-learning modules.
  • Coordinate onboarding education for new clinical team members, including providers, with a focus on efficient use of clinical systems.
  • Provide ongoing education and refresher training on updates, new features, and best practices to promote system adoption and user confidence.
  • Delivered instructor-led and one-on-one training to clinical staff, ensuring proficiency in clinical workflows, radiology procedures, and organizational standards.
  • Developed training materials, job aids, and educational content in collaboration with instructional designers to support learning and application adoption.
  • Facilitated onboarding and ongoing education programs for new and existing healthcare employees, improving competency, confidence, and performance.
  • Monitored learner progress through Learning Management Systems (LMS), conducted competency assessments, and provided coaching to support successful outcomes.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional clinical and operational teams to identify training needs, implement process improvements, and support change management initiatives.
  • Leveraged hands-on experience as an ARRT-certified Radiologic Technologist to provide practical, user-focused training aligned with clinical best practices and patient care standards.

Tier 1 Clinical Application Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for clinical staff and providers experiencing issues with EMR and other clinical software applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 1 support requests, escalating more complex issues to the appropriate internal IT or clinical applications teams.
  • Maintain open communication with users to ensure timely issue resolution and follow-up.
  • Track, document, and analyze support trends to identify training gaps or system issues.

Clinical Workflow & Systems Optimization

  • Collaborate with clinical leadership and IT teams to ensure training aligns with real-world clinical workflows and evolving best practices.
  • Recommend enhancements to training programs, workflows, and system use based on user feedback, performance data, and system updates.
  • Support testing, implementation, and go-live activities for new clinical application features and enhancements.
  • Assist with minor system customization, including alerts, templates, documentation flows, and data entry automation.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure all training and support activities comply with HIPAA and other applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through surveys, performance metrics, and follow-up assessments.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation for audits, compliance, and quality improvement.
  • Stay up to date with healthcare IT trends and clinical application advancements to bring innovative training approaches to the organization.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Must-Have

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or equivalent in experience.
  • 2+years of training users on Clinical or Hospital Applications.
  • Ability to effectively translate EMR system information into user-friendly training content.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High level of proficiency with EMR systems, e-learning platforms, and training software.
  • Ability to travel to different facilities or clinical sites as needed.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating training effectiveness and making data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.

Nice to Have

  • 1+ years of experience in technical writing training, preferably with EMR training and support.
  • Experience managing or developing User programs.
  • Previous experience working with senior clinical leadership in a healthcare setting.
