About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Client Due Dilligence Officer (Periodic Reviews) to join our Customer Due Diligence team, with a primary focus on periodic and ad-hoc reviews. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that our existing client base is reviewed in line with our AML/CFT policies, regulatory obligations, and internal risk appetite.

Reporting to: Head of CDD

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct periodic reviews of existing clients in accordance with the Company's CDD Procedure, AML/CFT Policy, risk-based timelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Review, assess, and verify client documentation including corporate documents, UBO information, source of funds/wealth, financial statements, and any other information required under the AML framework.
  • Perform screening and rescreening of clients, UBOs, and Business Officials against sanctions lists, PEP databases, and adverse media sources; escalate findings as appropriate.
  • Assess and update client risk ratings following periodic reviews, in line with the Company's risk methodology and Customer Acceptance Policy.
  • Identify and escalate cases requiring Head of CDD, AMLCO, Senior Management approval.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready client files. Liaise directly with clients to request outstanding documentation, explaining requirements clearly and professionally.
  • Collect expired IDs from clients on timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the AML, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Client Relationship teams to resolve complex or escalated cases.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of CDD processes, checklists, and internal procedures.
  • Support the AMLCO and Senior Management in preparing reports, and regulatory submissions relating to the periodic review program.
  • Ensure all reviews are completed within agreed SLAs and accurately tracked in the Company's case management system following each review.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a CDD, KYC, or AML role within a regulated financial institution, Payment Institution, or Electronic Money Institution.
  • Solid understanding of Cyprus AML/CFT/Sanctions regulatory framework. Knowledge of FCA AML framework is also preferable.
  • Proven experience conducting periodic reviews and EDD on corporate clients,including complex ownership structures.
  • Experience with UBO identification, corporate structure analysis, and source of funds/wealth verification.
  • Ability to independently assess risk and make sound, well-documented judgments.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience using case management or workflow systems (e.g., Jira or similar).
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

Desirable

  • Professional AML/compliance certification (e.g., ICA Certificate/Diploma, ACAMS, CAMS).
  • Experience within the payments industry, specifically with merchant onboarding or periodic reviews.
  • Familiarity with screening tools such as WorldCheck, Complytek, Dow Jones, or similar.
  • Experience working with clients across multiple jurisdictions, including high- risk countries.

  1. First Interview: Conducted by the Talent Acquisition team (30-40 min).
  2. Technical Interview: A 1 hour interview with the Head of CDD and CDD Lead
  3. Final Interview - Focused team fit at our premises, with participation from the Chief Regulatory Officer, Head of CDD and Group CCO/Group Deputy CEO.
