Class 1 Driver - Part Time

Role Sunrise Farms is seeking a Part-Time Class 1 Driver to transport live chickens from local farms to our processing facility in Lethbridge. This is a pay-per-load position and is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking to supplement their income with an additional paycheque. Most work is scheduled in the early morning hours, with pickups occurring within approximately a 2-hour radius of Lethbridge. The position is ideal for drivers seeking 1 to 3 days of work per week while maintaining other employment or personal commitments. Drivers interested in a long-term career with Sunrise Farms may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position based on performance, reliability, availability, and demonstrated commitment to the operation. Important Hours of Service Requirement The successful candidate must comply with all provincial and federal Hours of Service (HOS) regulations. Drivers must be able to legally perform the work assignment without exceeding: Maximum 14 hours on-duty in a day Maximum 70 hours on-duty in a 7-day cycle (or applicable cycle limits) All required off-duty and rest periods Applicants currently employed by another carrier are responsible for ensuring they remain compliant with all applicable HOS regulations.
