Overview
The Chief Data Architect leads the design and implementation of enterprise data architecture and big data solutions supporting mission and operational objectives. This role provides technical leadership for large-scale data integration, analytics, visualization, and data engineering initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement enterprise Big Data architecture frameworks.
- Translate mission and operational requirements into data systems, analytics, and visualization solutions.
- Design scalable data architectures supporting structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data environments.
- Guide engineering teams in developing data-centric solutions and analytic platforms.
- Support data ingestion, management, transformation, and visualization initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to extract operational insights from large and complex datasets.
- Develop strategies for managing high-volume and high-velocity data environments, including real-time data feeds.
Required Qualifications
- Experience designing and implementing Big Data architecture frameworks.
- Experience translating mission needs into data system and analytics requirements.
- Experience managing and integrating large-scale structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets.
- Experience supporting data visualization and analytic solution development.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data engineering and architecture principles.

- Experience supporting intelligence community or federal data modernization initiatives.
- Experience with cloud-based big data ecosystems and enterprise analytics platforms.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
