Job Description

Full responsibility of  development of a material and suppliers strategy:

     ▪ Conduct market analysis

     ▪ Support the strategy definition with cross functional partners

     ▪ Support the documentation and implementation of the supplier strategy

     ▪ Initiate the New Supplier Introduction Process

     ▪ Define and develop supplier portfolio for China in alignment with the Gobal Category

     ▪ Define the annual supplier list for own material groups which are reflected in the Category strategic paper based on Continental requirements

Full responsibility of  Achieve best market conditions：

     ▪ Actively influence the sourcing process during development phase through :

     ▪ Supplier selection

     ▪ Negotiation of prices and commercial conditions

     ▪ Preparing Sourcing decision sheet

Full responsibility of Negotiation:

     ▪ Perform annual negotiations to constantly improve the cost situation of Continental Automotive in case of escalation

    ▪ Negotiate changes with suppliers

    ▪ Apply negotiation concepts (like Advanced negotiation concept) to actively support & execute bundling within the respective Category

Full responsibility of Contract Management and Data maintenance:

     ▪ Ensure fulfillment of all necessary requirements by negotiating and concluding legally binding contracts with the respective suppliers

    ▪ Ensure in time implementation of correct data in the respective  IT systems

    ▪ Responsibility for monthly controlling and correction of local data and target achievement

Support to Continous Cost reduction:

   ▪ Support re-design in cost reduction programs

   ▪ Drive improvement programs with suppliers

Qualifications

Required experience:

- >1years of experience of relevant experience;

-Capability to negotiate and operate with different cultures;

-Experience in working with international teams on Purchasing issues;

-Understanding for different foreign cultures (NAFTA/ Asia, several European cultures);

Required knowledge:

Expert level:

-Procurement  Process  and Product Life Cycle (PLC) knowledge;

Advanced level:

-Communication skills, including Presentation and Negotiation techniques to operate in different cultures；

-Problem solving and decision making tools and techniques；

-Project management skills, tools and techniques；

-Risk Management；

-Technical understanding of specific components；

-Commercial knowledge, includes contract law etc.；

Basic level:

-Management skills, tools and techniques which ensures a strategic, profit and resulted oriented handling (Balanced Scorecard, Benchmarking, etc.)；

-Human relations skills (team skills, conflict management, open-mindedness, networking)；

-Purchasing Management (including standards of Quality system requirements, policies and norms (IATF 19649/ VDA 6.1)；
