About the team  

Join the Toys Team, a fast-paced, high energy and exciting category which requires strategic thinking and success built from strong supplier relationships. This role is a LEGO® focussed role, the leading manufacturer in the Toy market, who continue to drive double digit growth year after year, with amazing innovative newness. This is a brand specialist role and dedicated support for this sole account, supporting the Junior Category Manager by acting as a strategic and commercial bridge between The Very Group and The Lego Group team. 

About the role 

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations, drive commercial growth and execute brand excellence to keep everything running smoothly and continue to strengthen the strategic partnership.  

Responsibilities: 

  • You will use pricing tools daily to ensure the brand is competitive versus the market- making pricing decisions whilst protecting key KPI’s 
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of the LEGO® assortment, aligning with the brand on newness reveal and launch dates and supporting the FSP with stock replenishment to maintain availability targets.  
  • Full accountability for product set up, pricing, loading funding to agreements and updating any required reports.  
  • Work cross functionally with the Marketing teams in order to drive performance of funded campaigns and ensure LEGO® inclusion in key category activity, ensuring strong inclusion of nominations and on-site visibility.  
  • Support execution of promotional activity and plans- tracking and managing funding input and pricing and supporting the JCM in delivery plans to drive new innovative selling opportunities. 
  • Use data to analyse and make informed decisions for trading actions, promotional and campaign successes and drive decision making to target growth opportunities.  
  • Drive collaboration between Very and LEGO® to ensure alignment, effective communication and delivery against shared goals and JBP.

About you  

  • Strong experience with MS Excel 
  • Experience within a Merchandising or Analytical head office role is critical 
  • Understanding of category P&L and KPI deliverables 
  • Creative, organised and innovative 
  • Passionate, driven and brings energy to the role 
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment 
  • Champions what is right for the business, team and customer 
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
