About this role

Responsibilities

Leave & Case Management 

  • Coordinate medical appointments, assessments, and treatment plans to ensure timely care and appropriate follow up.  
  • Identify barriers to recovery early and work proactively with managers and providers to arrange suitable duties or modified work options. 

Compliance & Documentation 

  • Ensure all leave programs and case management activities comply with local laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.  
  • Oversee accurate administration, tracking, and documentation of all leave types within the LeavePro system.  
  • Maintain comprehensive case files, including incident reports, medical records, communication logs, and compliance documentation.  

Return to Work (RTW) Coordination 

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized RTW plans in collaboration with treating doctors, Business Partners (BP), Employee Relations (ER), and employee managers.  
  • Facilitate safe and sustainable reintegration by aligning medical recommendations with operational needs.  
  • Monitor progress and adjust RTW plans as needed to support recovery and performance.  

Stakeholder Partnership 

  • Build strong working relationships with HCM, RMD, ER, BP, ELG, and business leaders to ensure coordinated case management and consistent application of policies.  
  • Provide guidance to leaders on complex leave scenarios, escalations, and best practice approaches to employee support.  
  • Advocate for employee wellbeing while balancing organisational requirements and compliance obligations. 

Additional responsibilities as required 

  • Assist lead OHP with communicable disease management 
  • Manage ergonomic cases without underlying medical condition 
  • Assist in occupational injury investigation, and implement of corrective and preventive actions 
  • Support administrative staff with non-clinical occupational health matters / enquiries 

Technical & Professional Skills 

  • Strong understanding of leave administration, case management, and RTW processes.  
  • Ability to interpret medical information and integrate it into practical workplace recommendations.  
  • Experience coordinating with healthcare providers, insurers, and internal HR stakeholders.  

Communication & Interpersonal Skills 

  • Exceptional ability to explain complex policy details with clarity, empathy, and confidentiality.  
  • Skilled in managing sensitive conversations and supporting employees through challenging health related situations.  
  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.  

Documentation & Systems 

  • High level of accuracy in maintaining case files, medical documentation, and compliance records.  
  • Experience using case management or leave administration systems (e.g., LeavePro).
