Apprenticeship Overview:
- Salary: £8.00 an hour, Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds
- Working Week: Shifts TBC (will include evenings and weekends)
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Duration: 13 months
- Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship standard qualification
- Online training supported by our dedicated tutor
- Location: Nexus Business Centre, 6 Darby Close, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN2 2PN
As an Adult Care Apprentice, you will:
- Visiting multiple homes a day delivering safe, respectful and person-centred care to individuals in their own homes and/or supported living settings.
- Support with personal care, daily living activities, mobility, meals and hydration.
- Provide medication support where trained, competent and authorised.
- Encourage independence, wellbeing and participation in social and community activities.
- Observe and report changes in individuals' health and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and confidential care records.
- Follow care plans, risk assessments and Caring@Home Ltd policies and procedures.
- Comply with safeguarding, health and safety and infection control requirements.
- Communicate effectively with service users, families, colleagues and other professionals.
- Complete apprenticeship training, attend learning sessions and work towards achieving the apprenticeship qualification.
Specific Requirement:
You will need to have a full drivers licence and access to a vehicle as you will be required to travel to different homes to provide care. If you do not own a vehicle or have a full licence, we won't be able to accept your application.

Qualifications:
- GCSEs in English and Maths at grades 4–9 (A*–C) desirable

Pre-employment checks. Please be aware that upon a successful offer of employment, the company completes digitalised right-to-work checks and DBS applications via an external provider - 'Matrix Screening'.
