Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life-saving diagnostic and interventional procedures.Every day, you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols.To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.

  • Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.
  • Recognizes emergency situations (including life threatening arrhythmias) and responds effectively and appropriately.
  • Notifies the RN/Physician with rhythm changes in a proactive approach.
  • Validates clinical alarms.
  • Anticipates patient/unit needs during emergency/code situations without requiring direction.
  • Safely operates and maintains unit equipment.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Registry Certified as a CardiovascularInvasive Specialist (RCIS).
  • Cardiac catheterization laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of cardiacr hythms, and cardiac hemodynamics.
  • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Preferred

  • Radiology Technician with current x-ray and fluroscopy license.
