Job Description:
CROWN Packaging Manufacturing Italy S.r.l. is seeking a skilled Cans Mechanical Technician to maintain and repair high-speed can manufacturing machinery, ensuring optimal production efficiency and product quality.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of mechanical equipment used in can manufacturing, including presses, bodymakers, trimmers, flangers, and seaming machines.
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime and production losses.
* Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to understand equipment operation and repair procedures.
* Execute adjustments and calibrations to machinery to maintain specified operating parameters and product quality standards.
* Collaborate with production personnel and other technicians to identify and address recurring mechanical issues.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment performance.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
* Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery as required.
Job Qualifications:**
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably within a high-volume manufacturing environment, such as can making, metal forming, or packaging.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and lubrication principles.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
* Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
* Formal technical education or vocational training in mechanical engineering or a related field is highly desirable.
