About this role
- Prepare accurate engineering drawings and fabrication documentation to support production activities.
- Ensure weld mapping and fabrication drawings comply with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable standards.
- Support Engineering, QA/QC, and Production teams by delivering timely and accurate drafting documentation.
- Contribute to efficient fabrication planning through high-quality drawing preparation.
- Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, cutting layouts, weld maps, and fabrication drawings.
- Develop detailed shop drawings and single-part drawings for fabrication activities.
- Prepare weld numbering, weld traceability documentation, and weld tracking systems.
- Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, and Production teams to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness.
- Review and update drawings based on engineering revisions and project requirements.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, client specifications, and applicable codes.
- Maintain proper documentation and revision control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to drafting and fabrication processes.
- Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CAD Drafter or Weld Map Drafter in the fabrication, manufacturing, EPC, or Oil & Gas industry.
- Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Navisworks is an advantage.
- Familiar with AWS D1.1 and ASME Section VIII Div.1 requirements.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks, Tekla, and nesting software such as Autonest or Pronest will be an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a project environment.
