Job Description

As the newest member of our team, you'll play an integral role in our financial operations - keeping the books accurate and month-end close on track as we grow. Financial operations are your foundation, but you'll also be coordinating special projects - corporate governance to investor documentation and contributing across the business as new priorities emerge. With 5+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, you're ready to make an immediate impact. If you enjoy variety, finding better ways to work, and being part of a small, collaborative team, let's talk!

Your Values: Curiosity, Emotional Intelligence, Efficiency

Here’s some of what needs to be done:

  • Managing A/P, A/R, payroll coordination, and month-end close activities
  • Reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate financial records in Intacct
  • Tracking equity activity between Carta and Intacct, including the investment tracker
  • Overseeing the Box virtual data room for corporate books, investment documents, and due diligence materials
  • Coordinating vendor and legal contract workflows with outside counsel, including equity administration vendor onboarding and investment paperwork for the current funding round
  • Contributing to C Corp conversion, governance documentation, and other company-level projects as they arise
  • Managing vendor relationships, subscriptions, office operations, and day-to-day administrative activities
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency by using AI, automation, and better business processes
  • Jumping in wherever needed to help the business move forward

Qualifications

And what it’ll take to get it done:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations in a technology-driven, corporate, or professional services environment
  • Working knowledge of Intacct or a comparable accounting platform, Intacct strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with equity administration tools such as Carta - reconciling cap table activity against financial records is a plus
  • Exposure to legal operations, contract management, or data room administration - you don't need to be a paralegal, but you shouldn't be starting from zero
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 skills with the ability to leverage Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and other productivity tools to improve how work gets done
  • Hands-on experience using AI and automation to streamline workflows and improve business processes
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and keep initiatives moving
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and a natural curiosity for solving problems
  • Professional communicator who works effectively with employees, vendors, investors, and outside counsel
  • Resourceful, self-directed professional who takes ownership, asks thoughtful questions, and adapts as priorities evolve

Additional Information

Our team enjoys:

  • Salary $80,000–$90,000 and a strong benefits package
  • A dog-friendly office where you can enjoy a focused work environment
  • Working at the edge of what's possible in AI
