Business Intelligence Engineer, JWO
About this role
We're trying to optimize shopping experience for Amazon's Customers in the Physical retail space. This role will be a key member of the core Analytics team located in Hyderabad. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, and ever-changing environment. The drive and capability to shape the business group strategy is a must.
Key job responsibilities
• Analyze and visualize transaction data to determine customer behaviors and output solid analysis report with recommendation · Design and drive experiments to form actionable recommendations. Present recommendations to business leaders and drive decisions. Also manage implementation of those recommendations. · Develop metrics that help support product category growth and expansion plans · Serve as liaison between the Business and technical teams to achieve the goal of providing actionable insights into current business performance and ad hoc investigations into future improvements or innovations. This will require data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.

Basic qualifications
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Bachelor's degree or above in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
